Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing and reviewing lifting plans for all lifting operations.
• Identifying common hazards associated with lifting operations and ensuring proper control measures.
• Supervising all lifting activities and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing permit-to-work systems for lifting operations.
• Ensuring statutory inspections of lifting equipment are completed and documented.
• Performing pre-use inspections of lifting equipment before every operation.
• Selecting appropriate lifting gears for different lifting operations.
• Estimating the weight of loads to be lifted accurately.
• Recommending proper rigging and slinging methods.
• Ensuring crane operators and riggers follow recommended crane signals.
• Investigating incidents related to lifting operations and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensuring all lifting activities comply with project requirements and safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of lifting operations, lifting plans, and risk assessments.
• Good understanding of statutory inspection requirements for lifting equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
